You will be part of our Hardware Development team

Join our Hardware Development team, where your expertise will directly contribute to our cutting-edge biotech innovations. Located in our central Copenhagen office, this team is integral to developing and refining our hardware products, from conceptual design to implementation. Our hardware is at the center of our customers’ experiences. It is a key enabler for delivering value through our service based software products. It sits in laboratories all over the world as a trusted supporter to people at the most innovative biotech companies. As an Electronics Engineer, you'll collaborate with a dynamic group of highly motivated engineers, working in a fast-paced environment, to push the boundaries of biotech research and development.

The purpose of the role

As Reshape Biotech expands, we need an Electronics Engineer to bolster our Hardware Development team. In this role, you'll be pivotal in designing and developing embedded electronic systems and robotic technologies that are fundamental to our lab automation and production equipment. Together with a tight-knit team you will be ensuring the robustness and scalability of our hardware products as well as ensureing that our innovations not only meet but exceed the industry's highest standards. Together you will be tasked with ensuring that our hardware runs smoothly for our global high-profile biotech customers enabling us to help them set new standards for bio product development and solve some of the world’s most important challenges.


This is what you will be doing:

  • Developing and iterate on electronics and firmware designs for our lab automation robots.
  • Designing and documenting new electronic systems, including schematic design and PCB layout.
  • Developing, implementing and testing firmware for our robotics systems. For instance automated calibration, testing procedures and new product features. We are mostly utilizing languages such as C/C++ and Python.
  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of our products.
  • Providing advanced technical support for product deployment and troubleshooting, ensuring customer satisfaction and product reliability.

What we value:

  • Strong proficiency in electronics design, particularly within digital electronics and robotic systems.
  • Proficiency in software development for hardware products, particularly in C/C++, Python, and integration with REST API or similar request-based interfaces.
  • A curious and problem-solving mindset. We would love if you have experience with and/or strong interests in computer vision, camera systems, motion systems, control algorithms, 3D printers or mechanical design in CAD.
  • The ability to thrive in a trust-based, autonomous work environment.
  • The ability to execute on tasks, get things done on your own, and desire to learn something new.
